Christian Ponder need not worry about any competition this spring. Florida State backup quarterback E.J. Manuel will miss the rest of the spring with a compound dislocation of his right index finger according to ESPN who quotes a school spokesman. Manuel apparently injured his finger on Monday that required surgery and four stitches.
