    Bobby's Vision

You have to wonder if an indoor practice facility should be at the top of Bobby Bowden's priorities but apparently it is. How many games did FSU lose in the last couple of years due to the fact that that there was not an indoor practice facility? Zero. And yet it seems that this is Bobby's vision and therefore it is FSU's vision.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that during the university's monthly athletic-committee meeting last week, it was announced that FSU hopes to have selected by July an architectural firm to provide a feasibility study to give an estimated cost of the project and a location for the facility to be built.

FSU Athletic Director Randy Spetman apparently wants a multipurpose facility that could be utilized by several other sports. Heading the fundraising effort for the indoor facility is Jimbo Fisher who during Bowden's annual spring booster tour called on FSU supporters to open their wallets in support of the indoor facility.

If there were no potential indoor facility, would these donors still be giving money to FSU? If they would, why is the football program taking money away from the education of students themselves, students who are feeling a huge pinch from state budget cuts? That really bothers me as an FSU student.

Ryan, I have to agree with you. It seems that now is not the time for FSU to be looking for donor money to go to a facility that may be nice but is not necesssary especially in light of very austere conditions at the university level.
