    Three And Out: FSU-Wake Forest

I am pleased that we have a second "Three And Out" this week. This comes from Dan Collins who is a reporter for The Winston-Salem Journal. Thanks to Dan for answering the questions.

    1. If you had to choose one player that is a must play for Wake on offense, who do you choose?

QB Riley Skinner. The coaching staff didn't think it would be such a drop-off to backup Brett Hodges when Skinner missed two games (Nebraska and Army) with a separated shoulder. They rediscovered just how special Skinner is. Not only is he an accurate passer and strong leader, he's also a commanding, and calming presence in the huddle and in meetings

    2. What grade would you give Riley Skinner up to this point in the season?

Skinner's grade would be B. He has thrown seven interceptions in three starts, after throwing only five all last season. He has yet to play his best football of the season, but a year ago he didn't really hit his stride until mid-season. If the same proves true this season, then Wake should get better and better.

    3. How do Wake's receivers match up against Florida State's corners and secondary in general?

Generally, FSU probably isn't too worried about the Deacons' overall receiving corps. But specifically Coach Andrews and company surely recognize senior Kenneth Moore as one of the most dangerous players in the ACC. Moore leads Wake in both receiving and rushing and is on the way to a monster season.
