Who would ever think that a place kicker from FSU would be named specialist of the week after a Miami game? Well,that is what has happened. FSU kicker Gary Cismesia who kicked five field goals on Saturday was named the ACC's Specialist of the Week. He's now 8 for 9 in his career against the Hurricanes. He was also named as one of the top three stars for the week to the Lou Groza collegiate place kicker award.
In an all too painful truth, Mickey Andrews indicated that nine of the defense's 11 missed assignments in the second half occurred on Miami's winning 83-yard drive. “I think it's attitude as much as anything,” Andrews said Monday. “They hadn't thrown the ball on you all half. Why can they do it all of a sudden?”
