The Noles went out of state to Texas to get their 12th commitment for the 2009 class. Dustin Hopkins, a 6'2" 174 lb. kicker from Clear Lake High School in Texas gave the Noles his verbal commit on Wednesday.
Hopkins was named First Team All-State 5A at kicker and is ranked by some as the the #1 ranked kicker.
Comments from kicking coaches state that he is strong, consistent, and mentally tough. ESPN says that he is a "...talented kicker who has a very strong leg. His kickoffs are deep or out of the end zone; good hang on kickoffs."
