FSU Athletic Director Dave Hart will hold a press conference at 4 P.M. today announcing "a mutually acceptable and amicable separation agreement with the university" according to a statement released by the university athletic department.
Hart's departure from Florida State has been anticipated since Florida State President T.K. Wetherell sent a memo to Hart informing him that his contract would not be renewed. Hart's contract runs through January 2009, but Hart and Wetherell met in July to discuss Hart's future with the university. Reports are that he will conclude his tenure as Director of Athletics at Florida State on December 31, 2007.
