Florida head coach Urban Meyer and Tim Tebow spoke to the media today regarding the upcoming game with FSU:
Head Coach Urban Meyer
"I was educated about this rivalry a couple of years ago and it is a very intense rivalry. Most of these young players know each other and most of them were recruited by both schools. In my understanding, the rivalry really became great in the 1990s when both schools were constantly competing for a national championship. Obviously, that isn’t happen this year but it was happening last year with us. We are anxious to get this thing going; I know there will be a little different step around this facility as we get ready for this big rivalry game."
Florida QB Tim Tebow
“I am very excited about it. This is the biggest game that you dream about as a kid; playing for Florida against Florida State. It is a huge rivalry, especially in the 90s, and it doesn’t matter what the records are because all the four and five star recruits are going to play like it for this game definitely.”
