The Crimson Tide technically end fall camp today, with Sunday off and Monday marking the beginning of game week. Alabama coach Nick Saban has been adamant that there is no depth chart and that any position battles would continue to be evaluated. Also, Alabama's center Antoine Caldwell on Friday was named to the Rimingon Award watch list. The award honors the nation's best center.
Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins was asked how he saw the team's progression. "We're getting close," he said. "The next week, they'll be a little more rested, a little more focused. I'm one of those guys that thinks you're never quite there. We could be doing awesome, and I'll think we're not quite there. But I think we're headed in the right direction."
The Gator's practice on Friday was delayed 30 minutes because of lightning, but Meyer said he was happy with how the Gators regrouped and finished their workout. Meyer said he's still concerned about a few positions, but he's more than confident in the receiving corps, sophomore quarterback Tim Tebow and, surprisingly, the tailbacks.
