The Noles received verbal committment number 13 for the 2009 class with the announcement by 6'3", 260 lb. defensive tackle Demonte McAllister from Alonso High in Tampa.McAllister attended FSU football camp this past week and made his announcement at the end of the Seminole Showtime camp on Saturday evening.He has been recruited by almost all the major schools in the country including Georgia, LSU, Miami, USC, Tennessee, Auburn, Clemson and Florida.
ESPN's' scouting report says this about McAllister, "...(he) has the tools to be a handful along the defensive line. ...This kid is quick and he can get quick penetration and make plays in the backfield. "
