    Brooks Wins MVP Award

Former Seminole Derrick Brooks returned an interception 59 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter as the NFC posted a 23-17 victory over the AFC in a mistaken-ridden Pro Bowl. In a game where the rules limit what defenses could do, the Pro Bowl had become an annual shootout with 360 points scored in the last five contests. However, this one featured some defense with a bevy of mistakes. The teams combined for 10 turnovers and nine fumbles - both Pro Bowl records. Brooks, the defensive leader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was named the game's MVP. He returned an interception of a pass by Kansas City's Trent Green with 5:01 left in the third quarter to snap a 10-10 tie.
