Ron Dugans, a wide receiver for the Florida State football team from 1995-99, has been hired by his alma mater as the graduate assistant coach for the offense. After five years in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans, Dugans, spent last year as a G.A. with FSU's strength and conditioning staff. He played on Florida State' 1999 national championship team where he was the starting receiver opposite Peter Warrick.
"We are excited to bring Ron Dugans on as a full-time graduate assistant coach," said offensive coordinator Jeff Bowden. "He's very familiar with our program, our system and our standards. He will work primarily with the wide receivers and help out in recruiting locally. He played in three national championship games and then got some great experience in the NFL so we feel like he is a perfect fit."
