FSU Freshmen Set To Begin Practice

Maybe hoping to beat the noon day heat, the Seminoles open their first practice at 7 p.m. today. So what freshmen might make an impact in practice or in the 2008 season? Here are a few names that might make an impact in 2008:

    1. LB Nigel Bradham- This 6-2/242 Parade Linebacker of the Year in 2007 has impressed coaches with his maturity and work ethic. He could play a big role in 2008.

    2. QB E.J. Manuel- He is 6-4/215 and is destined to be the next big time QB for FSU. The question will be when. He will be low on the depth charts and more than likely will be redshirted.

    3. David Spurlock is a 6-5/287 OL who was not highly regarded but fits with Rick Trickett's philosophy. He has a chance to start in 2008.

    4. Vince Williams is a 6-0/237 LB who was impressive in spring practice after enrolling early at FSU. He could get playing time at linebacker given the departure of Marcus Ball and the suspension of Dekoda Watson.

    5. Jarmon Fortson at 6-3/220 is an ideal prospect for a Jimbo Fsher offense. Supposedly Jimbo Fisher loves Fortson’s potential and physique. He has the size, speed, and strength to compete in practice and perhaps in 2008.
