Pressley Makes The Grade... Noles Proceed On Indoor Facility

According to published reports, junior college running back Tavares Pressley apparently has passed a class needed to transfer to FSU for this season. This comes as good news for FSU and Bobby Bowden who has indicated that Pressley is a guy that can help the team immediatlely.

The Seminoles are thin at tailback with senior Antone Smith at the top of the depth chart but with little depth after that. Pressley, from De Soto High in Arcadia, Florida spent the last two years in California at Monterey Peninsula College where he had 1,211 yards rushing in 2006 and then had 832 yards last season at El Camino Community College. He is reported to have 4.4 speed along with good size at 6-1, 215 pounds. Here is a video of Pressley from YouTube.

So will Bobby Bowden get his wish for an indoor practice facility? Looks as if the possibility is more likely given the latest FSU move. FSU has hired an architecture, engineering and construction firm with the task of coming up with design proposals and costs for such a facility. FSU Athletic Director Randy Spetman estimates that the cost will be $20-30 million. Hard to believe that this would happen given the dire economic straits facing FSU and other state universities.
