In the never ending saga of coaching searches, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette(Pa.) is reporting that Jimbo Fisher is being considered for the vacant head coaching position at West Virginia. If there are ongoing discussions, then they are of the very delicate kind because Fisher's recent contract with FSU states that he cannot even interview or have any personal contact whatsoever with West Virginia officials. Fisher could be subject to personally paying his $2.5 million buyout to Florida State.
Fisher is a native of Clarksburg, W.Va. and had a conversation with T.K. Wetherell on Thursday. "He said he was still staying at Florida State and was happy here,” Wetherell said. “I know Jimbo. I take the man at his word. He said he hasn’t talked to them."
