The linebackers for the Noles will be without starting strong side linebacker Dekoda Watson and his backup Marcus Ball. Not a good situation for Mickey Andrews and linebackers coach Chuck Amato. They will definitely earn their salary for this bowl game. With the loss of Watson and Ball, the Noles lose two players who combined for 74 tackles and 4 sacks in 2007.
To replace Dekoda Watson at strongside, the Noles will use safety Kenny Ingram. His bio does not mention Ingram ever playing linebacker so this will be a new position for the 6'6", 222 lb. Junior.
The middle linebacker spot will be occupied as usual by Derek Nicholson as well as the weakside linebacker spot with Geno Hayes.
