Move over Nick Saban. A new liar has replaced you. Barely 24 hours after another blowout loss with the Atlanta Falcons, Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino was back in college football. Petrino was hired Tuesday by Arkansas, capping a whirlwind day in which he stunningly resigned from the Falcons after just 13 games. Petrino succeeds Houston Nutt, who stepped down at Arkansas two weeks ago and became the head coach at Mississippi.
According to Falcon's owner Arthur Blank, Petrino amid speculation had told Blank on Monday that he would be the coach for Atlanta. ESPN's Pat Forde said it best, "I apologize to Alabama's Nick Saban -- last year I named him president of the Liar's Club. He's been impeached and replaced by the disingenuous drifter. "
Even mild mannered Warrick Dunn said that Petrino had no class. The only positive comments that I have heard in regard to Petrino was from Lou Holtz who you guessed it did the same thing and left the New York Jets in 1976 with one game remaining in the season to become the head coach at Arkansas.
