    FSU Spring Practice: Day 3

The Florida State football team worked out for the first time in shells (shorts, shoulder pads and helmets) this spring and practiced for 26 periods with limited contact on Wednesday. The Seminoles will take Thursday off and then hold a practice in full pads on Friday. The last two periods of the day were used for 11-on-11 scrimmaging. Lorenzo Booker picked up 15 yards up the middle on the first play and the offense also got nice gains on the ground from Jamaal Edwards (12 yards) and Antone Smith (10 yards). Neefy Moffett had a tackle for loss and Everette Brown recorded a quarterback hurry to pace the defense in 11-on-11.

Former Seminoles on hand for today's practice included Leon Washington, Matt Henshaw, Kamerion Wimbley, Alex Barron, Bryant McFadden, Greg Jones, James Coleman, Matt Root, Chauncey Stovall, David Castillo, Kyler Hall, Paul Irons, Kez McCorvey and Gerard Ross. Thursday will be FSU's Pro Day with approximately 20 players scheduled to test with 100 or so NFL coaches and scouts looking on.
