    Head To Head Matchup: Receiver

A check of the ACC rankings show two Wake Forest pass catchers in the top 10. Wake Forest senior D.J. Boldin and junior tight end Ben Wooster are respectively at number 3 and 8 in the rankings. Boldin is averaging 78 yards a game while Wooster is at 61 yards a game. Boldin has no TDs while Wooster has 1 TD on the season.

The graduation of Kenneth Moore, the ACC's leading receiver, leaves Wake looking for a go-to pass catcher. The Deacons do have their steady veteran Chip Brinkman who has 2 TDs but only 53 yards receiving. Both D.J and Brinkman are you guessed it from Florida. On the year, the Wake receiving corps has a total of 5 TDS.

The 6-0/200 D.J. is the younger brother of Anquan Boldin, who played football at Florida State. The 6-5/235 Wooster already has 12 receptions on the year as compared to just two in 2007. The Wake receivers on the year have 487 receiving yards.

In last year's game against Wake, the top receivers for the Noles were Preston Parker and Greg Carr. Parker had 113 yards and 1 TD while Carr had 108 yards and 1 TD. Expect these two to play a similar role in this year's game. The addition of other receivers like Surrency and Reed gives FSU a pretty potent receiving corps.

For the first two games, the Noles have amassed 568 receiving yards and 8 TDs. Corey Surrency is the current leader in TDs with 3 followed by Bert Reed and Greg Carr with 1 TD. Look for Greg Carr to play a major role as well as Parker. However, with Surrency, Reed, Owens, Easterling, and Fortson as other targets, the Noles will pose a problem for the Wake defense.
