Tennessee Mascot Looking For A New Home

Move over Jim Tressel. Phil Fulmer wants the Turkey of The Week award. Phil and Tennessee did again what they do so well. They got hammered at home by the Gators 30-6. This was all too familiar for Fulmer, who is now 5-12 against Florida. Tennessee fans responded to this latest beat down by flooding Knoxville sports radio shows and football message boards on Saturday night calling for Fulmer's resignation and moaning the Vols' mediocrity.

This after all week some Gator players had accused the Vols of quitting during the game in their defeat by the Gators in 2007. Seems as if this would have been some motivation for Phil and his Vols to at least show up for the game. Florida fans also got into the verbal assault by altering the Wikipedia page for Tennessee Volunteers football. They used language that descibes female genitalia to denote the nickname of the team and called them "has-beens." Ouch!
