1. The Noles who play host to their second straight Division I-AA team, Chattanooga (1-1), on Saturday afternoon, are without 10 key players for another two games as a result of the academic misconduct scandal.
2. FSU is looking for its 8th 2-0 start in the last 10 years.
3. Chattanooga's defensive coordinator/safeties coach Dick Hopkins played at Florida State from 1970-1973 and was part of the 1971 team that participated in the first ever Fiesta Bowl game (45-38 loss to Arizona State).
4. This will be the second meeting between the schools and the first since FSU defeated the Mocs 37-0 in 1984 in Doak Campbell Stadium.
5. Bobby Bowden will coach his 498th career game when FSU plays Chattanooga on Saturday.
6. If FSU's offense is able to post 31 points against the Mocs, it would mark the 31st time in school history that FSU has scored 100 points or more in consecutive games.
