Noles Hoping To Avoid Three In A Row

1. Wake Forest’s magic number is 24. Under Jim Grobe, the Deacons are 39-13 when scoring 24 or more points. When scoring fewer than 24 points, Wake Forest is only 8-26.

2. Wake Forest has 26 Florida natives on its 2008 roster,which is the most of any team in the BCS not based in the Sunshine State.

3. Wake Forest has beaten the Noles two years in a row. Only one ACC team has ever beaten the Seminoles three times in row. ( Clemson has defeated FSU each of its past three meetings. )

4. The Seminoles are 13-3 all-time in ACC openers, with the only losses to NC State in 1998, Miami in 2004 and Clemson last season.

5. The Noles have played in 128 conference games since joining the ACC in 1992. They have only lost consecutive games to the same opponent just four times including the consecutive losses to Wake Forest.

6. In the first ACC game of the year played in Doak Campbell Stadium, the Seminoles have lost just one time and that came in 2006 versus Clemson when the Tigers downed FSU 27-20.
