    "Would You Quit?"

Steve Ellis of The Tallahassee Democrat asks a very good question. That is,"... first, when Xavier Lee did not start, and then when he was not put back in after Drew Weatherford was picked three times." Can anyone explain that?

The St. Pete Times reports as well as others in Bobby Bowden's press conference his remarks about quitiing. Bowden stated,"But the question I would ask y'all and think about it all the way through, 'If you were me, where I am right now, would you quit?' " Gee, I wish he had asked me that question.

Urban Meyer in the Gainesville Sun comments on his Florida team that does not win with a lot of style points."It is what it is. We're a bunch of scrapping, fighting guys who find a way to put a drive together in the fourth quarter and win." I don't think he said ain't one time.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the Emerald Bowl is an attractive site to play for a team that is only 6-6. The paper states that "FSU has never played in Northern California, and Coach Bobby Bowden estimated about 95 percent of his players probably hadn't been there, either."

Florida Today columnist Peter Kerasotis talks about Bowden's attitude regarding the team next year. As he reports Bowden says he believes the losing is over."Most everybody is back next season," he said. "Can we take this team and make them one minute better? If we can, then those one-minute losses become one-minute wins. And then we're back."Haven't we heard that before?

The Pensacola News Journal reporst on the FSU seniors who left with their heads held high. "A disappointing regular season came to a disappointing end for FSU's small senior class, which was honored before the Seminoles' 21-14 loss to No. 4 Florida."
