Former Seminoles Ron Sellers, Ernie Sims, and Terrell Buckley were on the sideline for Saturday’s game.
With a 181 passing yards today, sophomore quarterback Drew Weatherford now has 5,037 career passing yards making him the seventh Florida State quarterback in school history to throw for 5,000 or more yards in his career. He is also the leading quarterback in terms of yards by a sophomore in school history.
Wide receiver Chris Davis had 6 receptions for 85 yards against Florida leading the Seminoles in receiving for the fifth time in the last six games. For his career Davis is now 13th in Florida State’s career receiving yards list with 1,805 yards. He has also recorded a catch in 24 straight games.
Sophomore Greg Carr scored his 11th touchdown of the season in today’s game and now has 20 touchdowns in his career. The 20 touchdowns puts him in a tie for 8th place with Lawrence Dawsey (1987-1990) on Florida State’s all-time career touchdowns list. On the season Carr had 11 touchdown receptions which ties him for sixth place with Craphonso Thorpe (2003), Talman Gardner (2001), Snoop Minnis (2000), E.G. Green (1997), and Fred Biletnikoff (1964) on Florida State’s single-season touchdown catches list.
