Tebow Goes "Down" In Record Books

Note to Geno Hayes. Do your talking on the field and not in the press before a game. Geno's famous statement that Gator QB Tim Tebow was going "down" is probably now on countless Gator game shirts commemorating the fact that the only one that went down was Hayes and also the Noles. Tebow had a great night and the Nole defense didn't seem to have an answer for either Tebow or the other players on offense. So how bad was it? Tebow was 19 for 28 for 262 yards and 3 TDs. He also rushed for 89 yards and 2 TDs. Not bad for someone that was going down.

And what about Geno? Geno had one tackle and no sacks.

How do you keep going with this blog? It seems like at some point you'd just want say "enough is enough". FSU won't be better until Bowden is gone. He'll probably be in his mid-eighties before that happens.

And by the way, yeah, thanks to Geno for making this one interesting and memorable beyond the systematic beatdown which was administered. See you next year in Tally.

Ryan, I am still a Nole although it is tough at times. There are still many fans who believe that Bowden should stay as long as he wants. I don't happen to share those sentiments.

Good to know. One thing that would bother me most about Bowden if I were a FSU fan is his belief that his team is a play here or play there from winning more games. He thinks the 'streak' UF is currently on comes simply due to the fact that such things are cyclical in this rivalry and that FSU will have their own streak again in due time! He does not appear to recognize the widening disparity between the two schools.

Regardless of which school won in the past, it was usually a competitive game. Since Urban Meyer arrived at Florida, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the Noles look like boys among men when they play the Gators.

That Bowden can't recognize this boggles the mind.

I agree with you regarding Bowden. I really don't think you can put much stock in what he says anymore. The frightening thing is that FSU is set to extend his contract and supposedly give him a huge raise. In my opinion, that is ludicrous.
