Marquel Pittman at 6-3/195 is a sophomore wide receiver who is Western Carolina's top returning receiver. In first game against Shorter, Pittman had 109 yards receiving and 1 TD. In 2007, Pittman caught 22 passes for 476 yards for a 16.4 yards-per-catch average. He had a career high day in 2007 when he had 124 receiving yards against Wofford on six catches for an average of 20.7 yds/catch.
On the Nole's side we have Greg Carr who is the big man that the Noles hope will do more in 2008. In 2008 Carr had 795 receiving yards and 4 TDs. His TD production was down significantly from his great year in 2006 when he caught 12 TDs.
