Monday Morning Quarterback: FSU-Virginia Tech Game

Noles treated to hard dose of reality at Blacksburg:

Offensive Line: Not a great game for the offensive line especially in short yardage situations.
Grade: C-

Running Game: What running game? Smith had 12 rushing yards before he left game. Ponder and Gano had more yards than our running backs combined.
Grade: D

QB: Drew's numbers were horrible before he got knocked out of game.Ponder did the best he could even bringing Noles ahead at end of third quarter.
Grade: C-

Offensive Coaching: Not sure what the game plan was. Whatever it was, it didn't work well although injuries to Drew and Smith didn't help.
Grade: C-

Receivers: Receivers had a tough night. Fagg had decent numbers but Parker was .held to 1 receiving yard.
Grade: B-

Defense and Defensive Coaching: Not one of Mickey's best efforts by his defense. Missed tackles and the secondary getting burned on lots of passes were the hallmark of the game.
Grade: D

Penalties: Penalty yards were less than fifty yards. However, there were penalties at critical times in the game.
Grade: C

Kicking Game: Gano was good on punts averaging 43.2 yards a punt and Cismesia was 3 for 3 on field goals.
