    Spilled Milk or Something More?

Several South Carolina newspapers are reporting that Nole recruit Markish Jones is now wanting to get out of his commitment to FSU and go to Clemson. As you may recall, Jones signed his letter with Clemson on Wednesday morning and then committed to the Noles that afternoon.

Clemson football coach Tommy Bowden supposedly told a Clemson booster group in Columbia Thursday night that he spent several hours on the phone late Wedensday night with a prospect who originally had planned to come to Clemson but signed with another school. Bowden said the player told him he had made a mistake and wanted to sign with Clemson. Bowden did not identify the player. However, the scenario he described points to WR Markish Jones of Broome as a strong possibility.

He never faxed his LOI to Clemosn. He did fax his LOI to Florida State. Broome coach Quay Farr said Friday morning Jones came by his office Thursday afternoon asking for his Clemson papers, and his mother e-mailed him this morning requesting the papers because Clemson had asked that they be returned. "I don't know where they are," Farr said. "I would assume they could give him another set of papers." Farr said Jones did not say anything to him about wanting to change his plans.
