Speedy Receivers Recruited This Year

FSU's receiving corps was in need of some speedy receivers due to losses of Chris Davis and others this year. Enter recruits Markish Jones, Bert Reed and Cameron Wade. Jones was a four-event state champion last year - including the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dash - and was the fastest of any receiver at the Clemson NIKE Training Camp. Reed has a 33-inch vertical leap and the kind of athleticism that can be used in a number of ways on offense. Wade brings height and speed with him on the short trek from Cairo, Ga., to Tallahassee.

"We are definitely pleased with the speed we got coming in," wide receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey said. "That was a priority."
