Two Florida State football players are participating in Saturday's East West Shrine Game at San Antonio.
Tailback Leon Washington and tight end Matt Henshaw will play for the East squad in the 4 p.m. game on ESPN2. Washington ran for 2,011 yards and 12 touchdowns in his FSU career, while Henshaw caught 29 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns.
Former FSU linebacker Reggie Herring, now Arkansas' defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, will be an assistant for the East squad. Herring played at FSU from 1978-80.
Florida defensive back Vernell Brown (41 tackles, three interceptions in 2005) and offensive lineman Randy Hand (41 career starts) will also suit up for the East.
The Gators' Jeremy Mincey, a defensive end who had 62 tackles in 2005, will play in the Hula Bowl today at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
FSU defensive back Pat Watkins and defensive linemen Brodrick Bunkley and Kamerion Wimbley will be playing in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 28 (4 p.m. on ESPN).
