    Tigers Hold Scrimmage

Clemson freshman Willy Korn threw three touchdown passes in Clemson's scrimmage on Saturday while starter Cullen Harper had two. Harper, who came into the fall as the team's No. 1, connected with Jacoby Ford for a 6-yard TD and Durrell Barry for a 3-yard TD. Harper, a junior, was 8 of 11 for 80 yards.

"The quarterbacks played well. They made some good throws and some good reads," Clemson coach Tommy Bowden said. "They got the offense in the end zone a couple of times."

Kicker Mark Buchholz had field goals of 22 and 28 yards and put two kickoffs into the end zone. College football kicks off from the 30-yard line this year, five yards further back than before.

The Tigers will go through two more scrimmages at Memorial Stadium before they open the season Sept. 3 against the Noles.
