    Boston College Big Winners For Players Of The Week Honors


    OFFENSIVE BACK

    The ACC may want to do a special trophy for Boston College QB Matt Ryan who has won ACC Offensive Player of The Week three times.Ryan completed 24-of-32 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns in Boston College's 52-24 win over Bowling Green on Saturday. His 71-yard touchdown pass to Justin Jarvis in the third quarter was the longest of the season and the longest touchdown pass of his career. Ryan, who is beginning to emerge as a serious Heisman candidate, has now thrown for 15 touchdowns and 1,857 yards for the year, placing him at the top of the league in both categories.

    DEFENSIVE BACK

    Boston College Safety Jamie Silva earned the ACC Defensive Back of The Week honors for the Eagles' 52-24 rout of Bowling Green on Saturday, Silva tied a Boston College single-game record with three interceptions, one of which he returned 65 yards for the first touchdown of his career. He also accumulated six tackles, including five solo ones, on the day to lead the BC defense. Silva now leads the conference with five interceptions this season, and has totaled 11 in his career at Boston College.
