Florida State linebacker Marcus Ball has been suspended for Saturday's game at No. 11 Virginia Tech for a violation of team rules. Ball returned to the lineup in last Saturday's 27-17 win over Boston College after missing two games with a sprained left ankle. He is third on the team with three pass break-ups, has one sack and recovered a fumble on the season. Toddrick Verdell will pick up the slack in Ball's absence according to Chuck Amato. Ball along with QB Xavier Lee will not travel with the team for the Virginia Tech game.

Several Noles are on streaks. Florida State quarterback Drew Weatherford has thrown 156 passes without an interception. His only pick of the season was on Sept. 8 in a 34-24 win over UAB. Seminole corner Patrick Robinson has interceptions in five straight games, tying a Florida State record held by Terrell Buckley.
