Robinson In Elite Company...Gano Gives His All...Weatherford Moves Up List

Corner Patrick Robinson came back to intercept Matt Ryan's underthrown pass with 3:42 left in the first quarter, stopping a BC drive at the Seminoles 2. The fifth interception by Robinson in the last five games tied him with the 1991 record of former FSU and Dolphins standout Terrell Buckley, who happens to be an FSU volunteer assistant. No Seminole had picks in as many as four games in a row since Tay Cody in 2000.

Left tackle Daron Rose sustained a sprained left knee in the BC game. The Seminoles played the second half with David Overmyer moving from right tackle to left tackle, with Shannon Boatman taking over on the right side.

The unsung hero for the game has to be punter Graham Gano. Gano buried BC with a 64-yard punt, which forced the Eagles, down 10-7, to start a drive at their own 2-yard line. The Eagles were forced to punt, and the Seminoles took advantage with a field goal on the ensuing possession. Then, he booted a 34-yard punt to pin BC back deeper on a fourth-quarter possession.

When he hit Antone Smith with a 25-yard screen pass, quarterback Drew Weatherford moved past Danny Kanell and Gary Huff for third all-time on the FSU passing yardage list.
