Canes Injuries Mount...Hurricanes Looking To Move Up

Hurricanes coach Randy Shannon said junior defensive tackle Dwayne Hendricks is out for the season and that junior defensive tackle Antonio Dixon could be finished as well. They suffered lower-leg injuries in the past two weeks. Redshirt freshman defensive tackle Josh Holmes, who was reinjured last week in practice, is questionable.

Shannon also said RB Charlie Jones and LBs Romeo Davis and Glenn Cook are out for the season. Freshmen Robert Marve, a quarterback, and Jermaine McKenzie, a wide receiver, injured in a summer car accident, will be redshirted. Senior WR Lance Leggett is expected to also miss the FSU game.

After Miami's second straight loss last Saturday, the Hurricanes are 12-11 in their last 23 games. They're 4-3 this year, and 1-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
