Bobby Bowden likes garnet. So much so that he and the Seminole Student Boosters would like all Seminole fans to help paint Doak Campbell Stadium garnet by asking everyone to wear their garnet shirts when the Seminoles host the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday. It would be a nice sight to see a sea of garnet in the stands.
How anemic is the running game of the Noles? When it comes to yards per carry, FSU's 3.2 average is the same as last season which is the lowest of the Bobby Bowden era. In the ACC, only North Carolina State and Duke have lower averages.
Sophomore cornerback Patrick Robinson is looking for a good game against the Canes. Robinson, a Miami native who earned his first career start last week against Wake Forest and has intercepted passes in each of the Seminoles' past two games, would like nothing more than to deliver another strong performance against his hometown Hurricanes. "I can probably say that I have something to prove," he said. "I'm looking to show off for my home team."
