Gators Slither Out Of Bayou With Loss

UF could not hold a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter and was forced to accept a 28-24 defeat before a wild record crowd of 92,910 at Tiger Stadium. The winning score came on a 2-yard touchdown run by gritty LSU running back Jacob Hester with only 1:09 remaining.

One poster to The Gainesville Sun web site said, "Tonight I'm thinking of all the UF fans...who like to get drunk, thuggish, arrogant and belligerent, then pour drinks down people's backs because they root for another team. Y'all are so nice and civilized. Enjoy your lesson in humility." Well said.
