Wake Forest WR Kenny Moore led the Demon Deacons in both rushing (4-84) and receiving (11-100) and scored two of Wake's four offensive touchdowns in the win over Duke this past Saturday. It marked the first time in the senior's career that he had run for two touchdowns in a game and gave him three rushing scores for the season. His 11 catches marked the second time this season he has been in double figures in a game (15 vs. Boston College). He also has one touchdown on a pass reception.
CB Alphonso Smith's interception return in the Duke game for a touchdown was Wake's sixth non-offensive touchdown this year. Smith has accounted for half of them, with three interception returns for scores. LB Aaron Curry also has a touchdown on an interception return, WR Kenneth Moore on a punt return and FS Chip Vaughn on a fumble return.
P/PK Sam Swank averaged 43.1 yards per attempt on seven punts and was 2-for-2 on field goals (46, 18)for the win over Duke. Gee, kickers who can kick field goals. What a novel thought.
