Virginia Tech starting linebacker and leading tackler Vince Hall was to undergo surgery for a broken left wrist Sunday night and was expected to miss four to six weeks, the Hokies announced in a release. Hall broke the wrist in Saturday's 41-23 victory at Clemson, where he finished with a team-leading 11 tackles. The surgery was scheduled to take place at Montgomery Regional Hospital, where a plate was expected to be inserted to help stabilize the wrist. Hall is fourth in the ACC in tackles per game and has 61 total this season. He has started the last 44 games and was approaching the school record for consecutive starts. The Noles take on Va. Tech November 11 at Virginia Tech.
