You would think that Bobby Bowden would be preoccupied with all the suspensions and having to deal with a revamped team for the bowl game. However, he apparently has found enough time to on at least two occasions to telephone West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin to lobby him on behalf of his son Terry."I just told him I thought Terry was ready," Bowden said. "Terry has been out awhile and of course wants to get back in it, and he's committed to get back into it." Terry Bowden is seeking the vacant West Virginia head coaching position.
It's interesting that Rick Trickett has interviewed for the job also. Wonder how he feels about Bowden lobbying for his son? Seems like a slap in the face to Trickett.
