FSU Players Suspended Could Be As Many As 25

The number of players suspended for the Music City Bowl game continues to grow. As of Tuesday afternoon, Florida State will be without at least 11 players with starting experience when it plays Kentucky in the Music City Bowden. The number of players expected to miss the bowl game is now twenty-three players.

An FSU official said the number could still grow or decrease. FSU confirmed, in a statement released Tuesday afternoon, up to 25 players will not participate in the bowl. Bobby Bowden did not specifically address the academic misconduct case.

“Some of our players will not travel with us to the bowl game,” Bowden said. “We have some players not traveling for one reason and some for another, including those who are ineligible for the bowl because of academic issues. We can not be more specific than that at this time.”
