    Scouting Report: FSU-Wake Forest

    Florida State
SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: Xavier Lee's running threat adds a needed dimension to the Seminoles' offense. His arm strength was evident on several throws against Maryland. What amazed coaches was his accuracy and poise. He looked like a different guy and the FSU offense looked like the group of the 90's.
SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: For all their injuries on the front line and LB corps, the Seminoles are 13th nationally in run defense, giving up only 80.5 yards per game.

    Wake Forest
SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: At first glance, it doesn't show. Wake Forest ranks last in the ACC in passing offense. But the Deacons lead the league, amazingly, in passing efficiency. They've thrown the ball just effective enough to aid their rushing offense.
SCOUTING THE DEFENSE: The Deacons' defense has produced 19 takeaways, putting the Deacons third in ACC in turnover margin and underscoring another reason for their success.
