What They Are Saying About the FSU-Virginia Game

"They're playing a last-place team. So why are the Virginia Cavaliers so wary of the opponent they'll face this afternoon?

That's easy. Because the opponent is defending ACC champion Florida State. Moreover, the teams are meeting in Tallahassee, Fla., and in road games U.Va. is 10-21 under coach Al Groh."

"And the Cavaliers are not overwhelmed by the prospect of having to play in Tallahassee, where they've never won.

"It's not a pipe dream any more," Virginia coach Al Groh said about chances of ending a seven-game losing streak in Tallahassee. "We're really just trying to focus on this thing one game at a time."

"Sixth-year Virginia coach Al Groh makes his third trip to Tallahassee, Fla., where the Cavs lost 40-19 in 2002 and 36-3 in 2004, when the Cavaliers were 5-0 and ranked No. 6 in the country.

The first time we were down there, they were just way better than we were at that particular stage," Groh said. "Two years ago, we went down there and we should have played a lot better and we were pretty stinky."
