What They Are Saying About the FSU-Wake Game

"The way Mario Henderson sees it, Florida State matches up well with the blitzing defense of No. 19 Wake Forest. The offensive tackle points to FSU's good pass protection in recent games. Plus, in tight end Brandon Warren and tailback Lorenzo Booker, Henderson believes FSU has the kind of players who can counter the blitz. Wake Forest has 22 sacks, tied for sixth in the ACC.

"I expect them to do the same thing they've done to every other (team's) blitz, and blitz crazy and relentlessly,” Henderson said. “I guess they want to get after you and push you to make bad decisions."

"Two numbers ordinarily that would tell the story of Saturday's primetime bout between Florida State and 19th-ranked Wake Forest:
    * 225: For how many passing yards per game the Demon Deacons allow. That's good enough for last in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Yes, even behind Duke.
    * 8.5: For the spread of the game which favors the Seminoles. FSU has been favored in each of its nine games this season, and despite its four losses, is somehow goes into this weekend expected to pound the "hapless" Deacs."

"Wake Forest is expected to start eight true or fifth-year seniors this weekend. Only one projected starter on offense and two on defense haven't redshirted. FSU has played 17 true freshmen this season. As many as five have started in a single game. Wake isn't expected to play any true freshmen Saturday.
