Western Michigan University (abbr. WMU) is a public university established in 1903; its main campus is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As of 2006, the school has slightly less than 25,000 students. The school is the fourth largest in the state of Michigan and is one of the 50 largest universities in the United States.The school's mascot is Buster Bronco, and the school colors are brown and gold.
Western Michigan University is a NCAA Division I-A school and competes in the Mid-American Conference (MAC)in men's football. Conference members include:Akron,Ball State,Bowling Green,Buffalo,Central Michigan,Eastern Michigan.Kent State,Miami (OH), Northern Illinois,Ohio,Toledo, and Western Michigan.
Football alumni include Greg Jennings, NFL player for the Green Bay Packers, Jason Babin, NFL Player for the Houston Texans and Tony Scheffler, NFL player for the Denver Broncos .
They beat Virginia earlier in the year 17-10. They are 7-3 going into the game with the Noles.
