    Head To Head Matchup: Quarterback

When you compare the matchup at QB, the one glaring difference is experience. In his redshirt junior season, Wake Forest QB Riley Skinner already has won more games than any quarterback in Wake Forest history.

Skinner owns a 20-6 record as Wake Forest's starter, including an ACC title and consecutive victories over FSU. Says Noles defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews regarding Skinner, "He is one of the most accurate passers we have ever faced. He makes very good decisions. "

Skinner set career highs with 32 completions and 43 attempts in the win over Ole Miss in their last game and he continues to be among the most accurate passers in the NCAA. He has completed 74.7 percent of his passes this season after leading the nation last year at 72.4 percent.

In the ACC, the 6-1/205 Skinner is ranked number one with 487 passing yards and 5 TDs and averaging almost 244 yards a game. He has played in big games and this could be the deciding factor in the game on Saturday.

On the Nole side, Christian Ponder has done well in his first two outings as has backup D'Vontrey Richardson. Hiwever, the one thing neither has is playing experience or performing in big games. Saturday will be their first big test. Christian Ponder is ranked number five in the ACC with 378 passing yards and 6 TDs and averaging 188 yards a game. The one glaring stat is that neither Ponder or Richardson have an interception.

The one advantage that both Nole QBs have in regard to Skinner is that both are very mobile. This could spell problems for the Wake defense.
