Noles Wrap Up Practice And Get Set For Jax

    FSU Sports Information Excerpts:

For seven members of the Seminole football team, Saturday’s game in Jacksonville will be a homecoming but with three games played in Jacksonville since 2005, it is not a new experience for most of this group. Last year FSU downed Alabama and three years ago the Seminoles won the ACC Championship and the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Florida State has scored at least 21 points in every game played in Jacksonville since 1982 and will hope to get the offense restarted following the three point showing versus Wake Forest.

    Head Coach Bobby Bowden:
    On the offense this week:
“You hope every week that they pick it up a little bit. We have run down the list of reasons why they didn’t do well last game. I hope that we have worked on that this week.”

    Quarterback Christian Ponder:
On how the offense practiced this week:
“I think we did, I think we had a pretty good week. The tempo was definitely a lot quicker than usual. I think guys were coming out here motivated and ready to work hard and ready to forget what happened last week and turn this thing around.”

I have only been to one game in Jax and it was our only loss. All I remember is that it was 110 degrees in the stands and on the field we resorted to trickery to try to win (didn't happen) while fans passed out from heat exhaustion in the stands. All in all a "wanna forget" experience.
