    Noles Work On Scouting Wake

    FSU Sports Information Excerpts:

Wednesday’s FSU football practice was spent almost exclusively working versus Wake Forest scout teams. That is not that unusual for a Wednesday but for the first time this season the coaches were able to work against an opponent they were familiar with. The Demon Deacons have won two straight games versus Florida State and are one of the favorites to win the ACC’s Atlantic Division.

    Head Coach Bobby Bowden:
“We had to celebrate down there – somebody finally got an interception. Tony Carter got one. We ain’t had many games or practice. We kind of got excited about one of them. We had a great catch by Cameron Wade. Everything else went about like you had planned. We have had good practices. Looks like we have come out pretty decent on the injury situation. We will rehearse our game plan tomorrow and be ready to go.

How much of an impact will Preston Parker and Budd Thacker have on Saturday night?
“They can have one if they will have one. They can got out there and play average and not even be noticeable. If they play up to their capabilities, it will ne a help.”

Did Graham Gano get some more work today?
“He might have gotten a little bit; I didn’t see him getting a lot. I’d have kept my eye on him and I didn’t see him getting a lot of work. If he is healthy he adds to punting – well our punting hasn’t bee bad – he adds to what extra point and field goals that we have been missing. It would be nice to have him back but if he is not healthy he can’t it.”
