    Nole Interception Key To Defeat In 2007


    The last game against FSU and Wake was a Thursday night game at Wake in which the starting QB for the Noles was Xavier Lee.

    At the end of the first quarter, the score was 0-0. In the second quarter,Wake scored a TD on a Josh Adams 83 yard run and TD. FSU scored to even up the score as Lee threw a six yard pass to Preston Parker for a TD.

    With less than three minutes to go in the half, FSU drove the ball down the field as Lee connected with Carr on a 50 yard completion. Four plays later, Lee threw a six yard pass to Carr for a TD as FSU went into halftime leading 14-7.

    In the third quarter, with six minutes left, Wake drove the ball down the field and scored on a Riley Skinner TD throw. The end of the third quarter found the score tied 14-14.

    In the fourth quarter, with FSU unable to score, Wake drove the ball down the field and scored on another Riley Skinner 35 yard TD pass. Wake led 21-14. After an Xavier Lee interception at the Wake 26 yard line, Wake drove the ball again and ten plays later, Sam Swank kicked a 48 yard field goal as Wake led 24-14.

    With less than two minutes left in the game, FSU took the ball and drove down the field as Lee scampered for 17 yards and a TD as Wake led the Noles 24-21. This was was the final score as time ran out with Wake having the ball.
