Five Seminole football players were honored by College Football News as All-Americans. Freshman rover Myron Rolle led the way as he was named a first team freshman All-American. Buster Davis received honorable mention All-American honors. Everette Brown and Brandon Warren received second team and honorable mention freshman All-American honors, respectively. Linebacker Geno Hayes was named an honorable mention sophomore All-American.
We sometimes lose sight of why athletes are at a university. Namely to earn a degree and be able to fulfill their potential beyond sports. With that in mind it is great to see members of the FSU football team that will graduate this semester.
Buster Davis graduates this weekend with an undergraduate degree in social science. The large group of scholarship and walk-on seniors earning their degree this semester also includes starting tailback Lorenzo Booker and starting defensive end Darrell Burston. Former walk-ons Robert Hallback and Mikhal Kornegay have already completed their undergraduate work. Congratulations to all these players!
