UCLA Announces Starting QB

UCLA QB Patrick Cowan who was the QB in the win against USC got the nod for the Dec. 27 Emerald Bowl against Florida State.

Bruins coach Karl Dorrell made the announcement Friday, when UCLA returned from final exams and began preparing for the Seminoles.

"He's deserving of it at this time," Dorrell said. "He finished the season 3-0, and he was the most valuable (offensive) player in our last game of the season (against USC), so he's deserving of finishing the season."
